Welcome 3 words to describe this week= SAD, SLEEPY, SICKENING. (like my alliteration? wont elaborate.) in other words, BAD. + Our precious past Your treasured future what a nice open house theme! in preparation for the FREE pizzas for the guides exhibit, bert kristyn and foong came over last night after COH (which was alot more boring than usual. why?) to make the pizza bases, and this really quite funny thing happened on the bus regarding bert and her infamous clumsiness (heehee) + a huge box of dough & other supplies + a speeding bus + lots of people. after kristyn and foong left at about 9, tiara came over and we made more bases... until we reached nearly a hundred, then bert left and then there was really scary lightning and thunder so after a while tiara left too, at about 11+. TIRING OK. so this morning i woke up to crows cawing away outside at 6.45 am then was stuck in the toilet for about 45 minutes and had a horrible problem with my guides uniform and had a very bad hair day. had to take a bus in my guides uniform ALONE carrying a huge bag of stuff mainly pizza bases WHO KNEW pizza bases could weigh so much? + kim and bert pits/ the girl guides version of an oven. innocent pizza toppings sitting on a gadget table being served to people by a monster... ... or two. so this is what she was doing while i was after shift means oily faces and smelling like smoke and ash mr lau demanding to be dunked for a minimum of 5 dollars too late! kim zhang, fart (+sunlight = kristyn) good picture to sabo farhana with! sprinkie the pretty curly-haired girl, a.k.a. xuehui the SC ambassador sec ones marching + yup so i kinda realised guides is actually the cca that could be the closest-related to servants. we are totally the servants of the school. i mean yeah it's fun and all that but have non-guides ever thought about who are the ones that clean up after them after things like sports day or national day or teachers day or whatever important school event even though we arent the ones who are the slobs? or maybe how we try so hard to impress people with our huge fires and stable gadgets and tents, only to be dismissed as "so easy to make" or "unoriginal" and be met with things like "again?" but do they realise that each gadget takes a very long time to make and there's a huge amount of twine(rope)-burn that comes from tying all those knots? and that each fire is so difficult and tedious to maintain but we still do it for the sake of... for the sake of what? looking good in front of people who arent guides and dont understand what we go through to make this all perfect for them? looking good for guides who have more experience than us and proving to them that we're worthy of succeeding them? or is it really for the fun of it, and the fact that we love what we do. it's sad, because the last one seems the most unlikely. oh well. at least there's someone who never fails to cheer me up. me. (hey x, thanks for everything. wonder if you know who you are!) btw it's not myself again. and it's amazing what 2 hours on the computer without IMing can do! feeling much better haha. |
